It is with great pleasure we announce the appointment of Mark Hooper as General Manager of the Ponsonby Rugby Club.

Mark is no stranger to the club and is well known to many of us. He started with the club playing junior rugby and after working up through the grades, he ultimately captained the Premiers to success in the Gallaher Shield. In all Mark played 113 matches for the Premiers.  

After retiring from playing he became Head Coach of the Premiers and joined the select group of Ponies who have won the Gallaher Shield as both player and coach.

For the past few years Mark has held numerous coaching positions with schools and the Auckland Rugby Union.

Mark leaves his role as New Zealand Manager of Hoshizaki Lancer after thirteen years to take up his new position.

He is a true Pony and we look forward to him helping deliver the game to you, our members.
